The week ahead

After  a slightly quieter period in June, July is going to demand a lot of effort and skill as a photographer. the next week in particular is very full on. Here is just a flavour of what I’ve been up to and of the next 7 or 8 days…

Coventry Wedding

The month kicked off with a most glorious and colourful wedding Coventry. I hoppe to return to it in a blog sometime – it was a masterclass in the use of colour. Suffice to say that I had a great time with the Nikons, and worked VERY hard to get the edit done fast, so that it was all out of the way for the busyness of the coming week. Here is just one taster shot – with the 200mm f2.

Salvation Army Congress and Commissioning at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon

This weekend is the Salvation Army Congress and Commissioning services. Last year was Birmingham; this year it really feels like coming home – to the Fairfield Halls, Croydon. This was a regular venue for me back in my youth, but I don’t think I have been inside for 40 years! It will be good to be back.

Tonight will be Belongings with Stephanie Lamplough and her cast in the Ashcroft Theatre

Tomorrow a full round of vibrant activities from a Fun Run to concerts by the International Staff Band

With or without the African Praise Fellowship (pictured at last year’s event), Salvation Army gatherings are generally colourful and loud!

Central to Sunday will be the commissioning of these cadets (seen with the Principals) from William Booth College – people I have got to know pretty well over the last year and look forward to seeing through the busy weekend

.... And on to two weddings in a week

I need to have files ready for the Salvationist magazine on Monday morning so the weekend really is high pressure. Then a slight breather, followed by…

photography for Anna and Mark’s wedding at Southwark Register Office on Wednesday…

… and Luke and Rachel’s wedding in Cambridge on Saturday.
I may be a Bromley wedding photographer, but I do get around!

I love it busy! I enjoy the pressure of deadlines, and the buzz of travel to different locations for shoots and weddings. Even when travel is to Croydon!

If you are getting married or need events photography,  please contact me and let’s talk about how my photography can help you.
