WHY I LOVE BEING A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Wedding Photography by Andrew King – Recording the memories of your big day
The morning of a wedding…
… I wake up with a buzz that I get from no other photographic work. The cameras and lenses will already be packed, and battery chargers will have been winking all night. There is something special about being a wedding photographer!
I have thought long and hard about what that is. Headshots for large companies may pay well. Product work can be fascinating creatively. But only for wedding photography do I have this feeling.
Every time I wake up to photograph a wedding I tell myself, “Today you are going to take photos which grandchildren yet unborn will one day look at. You will be dead and gone, but these shots will last.” Wedding photography produces images that are the record of a milestone for an entire family, will be treasured for generations and they need to be done right. Wedding photography mustn’t be left to chance. Uncle Joe who has “got a nice camera”, the friend who would do it for free to “get some portfolio” – I have known both of those and others lose the memory cards, miss the focus of the shot or simply cut off all the feet (or heads). Wedding photography needs and deserves a trustworthy pro.
Take a look through my work on my general wedding page – there is a mixed portfolio and then eight single wedding case studies further down. Then check out what exactly I offer and how much my wedding photography may cost and feel free to contact me for a chat or to get a quote for your special day.
