Professional Personal Branding Photography
Individual photography can include Portraits! Headshots! Selfies! We live at a time when images of ourselves have never been easier to get hold of. Everywhere we look we see the making of the selfie – often with the essential duck-billed pout!
We have become used to the perspective of our own faces when viewed at less than arm’s length. As a result, photos taken at a more classical portrait distance – with a real portrait lens – look surprisingly pleasing. In a world of literally billions of photos of faces, well-photographed images still stand out, and perhaps more than ever.
Whether you are looking for images of yourself for your business, as headshots for your agent to create publicity, for friends and family, or simply to have some great pictures for your Facebook (or Tinder!) profile, investing in a few hours with a real portrait photographer is worth your while.
A shoot with me can be relatively short. Some of the simple headshot-type photos below took less than an hour with the client. In other cases a day or more of work was involved. Taking time to really listen to what the client wants to say about themselves, and helping them to craft their “personal branding” is as important as actually clicking the shutter.
