Instagram: My New Weddings-Only Account
Instagram, love it or hate it, is a fixture in the UK wedding industry, and there is hardly a wedding photographer who doesn’t have an account. I have operated as AndrewPhotoKing for some years, with a whole mixture of photography going up, with lots of weddings, but some commercial stuff, Salvation Army stuff, and lots of more personal posts. More recently I have tried to gear the page more to weddings.
My Insta page has some presence, but I have wanted to build further. Separating out the wedding material from the rest of my photography seems to make sense, as does enlisting the help of someone who really is good at this stuff. Cue a load of hard work by the amazing Georgina of Studio Hart. She and her family been friends for years, and more recently she has become my guru when it comes to making improvements to my brand in general, and to this site and my social media. I am paying her in actual money (yes!) but also in kind, via help with improving her camera technique. The recent photography lesson featuring model Mae Ling was a part of that.
Georgina has done a fantastic job in launching my new Instagram page – Andrew King Weddings – and she will be adding to it over the next few weeks before I take it over again and try to maintain her exacting standards! She has the most amazing eye for design, a keen sense of what works for a brand, and above the most incredible enthusiasm and networkability.
