Simon & Luna contacted me via my website. They were looking for a short shoot at a very small and simple wedding. The venue was their local anglican church.
In what turned out to be a year full of brides with far-Eastern roots, this wedding stood out for the affability of the guests and a considerable amount of banter regarding Donald Trump! Oh, and the beauty of the bride, who was serene in a stunning dress which gave more than a passing nod to Chinese traditional robes.
It’s good to still be a Surrey wedding photographer!
A favourite shot? I really enjoyed the light in the church after the ceremony. It was just too glaring to do shots outside, but in the tranquility of the High Church architecture we ghot all the groups done very happily.
A short wedding shoot needn’t provide a poor selection of photos. I delivered over 200 to Simon and Luna. It was a happy day and I was glad to be part of it.
Of course, a short day may mean that long distance travel doesn’t make much sense. I wouldn’t want to drive to Yorkshire for a short day, but as a Bromley wedding photographer, much of Kent and Surrey are very much in my zone for half days or less. It was a pleasure to head over to Claygate for this one.
