Wedding photographer at Bromley Registry Office
Adam and Clare
Wedding Photographer: Andrew
Location: Bromley Register Office, Bromley, Kent
Clare got in touch with me a couple of months before her October wedding to Adam. She had found me by googling “Bromley wedding photographer” – which delighted me as we had only been in Bromley for 4 months and this was the first sign that I was building up a significant local profile on Google. We met up for a drink at a nice pub at Keston and the couple booked me as their wedding photographer.
I have photographed many register office weddings at Camberwell/Peckham (Southwark) and a few at others – Leatherhead, Crawley and Croydon come to mind. Bromley Registry Office is certainly amongst the grandest and most photogenic. The Old Palace building looked magnificent on an autumn afternoon, and the woodland and lake nearby were beautiful too, if a bit too muddy for Clare’s stunning dress. In the event, we shot everything in front off the building and in the beautiful colonnade which runs along the south side. Long lenses and wide apertures gave a lovely shallow depth of field, with the pillars running into the background, and the soft light was great for portraits.
Adam and Clare’s sense of fun, the informal style, that stunning, shimmering, dress, the autumnal feel in the buttonholes and bouquets, October afternoon sunshine and the beauty of Bromley Old Palace Register Office all made this short-shoot wedding a day to remember!
Thank you, Clare and Adam, for asking me to photograph your wedding!
