A wonderful day of mixed langauges, cultures and music – and shared joy!

What happens when a Congolese marries a Scot? When the Scot was raised in Paris and speaks fluent French, and when the girl from the Congo is as culturally fluent, this is what happens. African fabrics mixed with tartan. A wedding BIG on colour! A ceilidh alternated with a Congolese disco. Huge joy and dancing through the day! A fabulous day – a privilege to be there as guests, let alone as wedding photographers.

I have been the wedding photographer for a number of Sarah’s students’ weddings. Many have been held at the College itself. This one was a wedding to die for. We worked right through the day – from the bridal preparations until well into a long night of dancing.

The photo selection here concentrates on the bride’s preparations and the dancing. There were many group photographs, and a ton of individual shots of guests. We delivered more than 700 good edits! It was a superb day, and it was difficult to take a bad picture.

My favourite wedding photography shot of the day? I love this little lad, totally confident, out front, leading the dancing in one of the most vibrant weddings we have ever photographed.
