Black and white wedding photography for David & Beth

I featured this wedding in a blog about the importance of Black and White wedding photography. The day was so lovely and the results so excellent that I wanted to include the black and white set here. The couple obviously received all their photos in full colour and soft colour versions as well as the black and white style you see here..

The day began at the homes of the bride and groom – Tim covered the groom’s preparations in Haywards Heath; I went to Beth’s parents’ lovely home in Cuckfield. The marriage took place at Cuckfield Baptist Church, with the reception at Scaynes Hill Village Hall.

Dave & Beth’s wedding was a phenomenal day – stylish and joyful and very, very photogenic. Thank you both for asking us to photograph your wedding!

Bride and groom portraits were done in a stubble field between Haywards Heath and Scaynes Hill. Perfect warm late summer light and a beautiful couple with a great sense of style made the job an easy one. Tim worked further away with the 70-200 on the D3; I worked closer in with the 24-70. Their car was a Morris Minor, after a barn dance, the groom’s own band played at the reception – the day was relaxed and joyful throughout.

My favourite shot from the day? Probably the image of the bride and her maids checking their shoes. Heavenly light!
